Dear Friends,
“And when they shall have finished their testimony...” - Revelation 11:7
The prophecy of the two witnesses gives some exciting events. The first phrase of verse 7 caught my attention this week, “They... finished their testimony.” God has a set work for them and they accomplish that work! I pray we can all say one day that we have finished our testimony.
DEPUTATION
As I write this letter I am sitting in a log cabin, on top of a mountain beside a lake. I look out the window and see only clear blue skies above and a beautiful forest below and all around. No, I have not moved home. We are on deputation and at present staying with friends in Smithville, Tennessee. Pastor Fittis comes from Northern Ireland and started the church I now pastor. We have come here for their 2008 Missions Conference.
We arrived in the USA on January 15th and since then I have hardly stopped. Carrie, Ashleigh and Samuel have spent most of the time staying with family in Mauldin, South Carolina. I am grateful for this opportunity for Carrie and the children to visit with their family.
Through HELP Ministries I have had a busy schedule with mission’s conferences. Most of the churches so far have been in Georgia. God has blessed and I have had some great opportunities and met some wonderful people. It has been a privilege to stand in the pulpits of many good pastors.
HELP Ministries, based in Brandon, Florida, have enabled us to come here. Through the tireless efforts of the field representatives and leadership in the offices God has opened the door to visit with over 17 churches so far.
I have been encouraged and challenged in every church. I have tried to learn from those men who have experience in the ministry and have taken away a lot of ideas that I can use back home at Faith.
FAMILY
The family were well up until this week. Ashleigh had a high temperature for a few days and so yesterday, the 29th of February, we took her to the doctor. He believes she has bronchitis and so gave her several prescriptions which should cure her. Please do remember her in your prayers.
Please continue to pray for us as I travel and my family and I spend time apart. Our support level has increased and I thank God for that answer to prayer. We have more to raise, and I know God is able.
In Christ,
